There is a New Moon in the sign of Virgo this week and, great for new beginnings especially when it comes to detailed, planned projects that require focused mind and precise schedule in place.
When astrologers think "Virgo", they mean: responsibility and care, technology, cleanliness, analysis, details, learn...ing, perfectionism and business plans. Virgo Sun and/or Moon people or those with Virgo rising can be a "pain in the neck" or total "control freaks" who often lose patience and trust - This is a good time to start your meditation schedule and to pick which technique suits you the best: yoga or pranayama (breath control, how appropriate), it is important that you find some time for relaxation now and to take care of your body, mind and spirit, not just your scheduled tasks.
Virgos like to pay attention to health and nutrition, this sign rules
pets, basically everything that needs constant care - all your day to
day duties, to-do lists and personal organizers, pests, dust and
bacteria, anti-bacterial soap and make-up removal. Don't get me wrong,
Virgos can also be quite opposite of "organized", it depends how they
use this energy and what kind of aspects they have to deal with in their
personal charts. Their need for control and their loss of control can
later translate into personal chaos.
Many people will want to get a dog or a cat or to assist animal shelters
now. Whatever you do, don't go into extremes overwhelming yourself and
your agenda this week, adopting three cute little cats, five adorable
puppies and at least nine birds... It would also be smart if you
postpone big purchases or sign contracts after Mercury goes direct on
Sep 13.
To my Muslim and Jewish friends: Happy and Blessed Eid ul-Fitr عيد الفطر
the end of the holy month of Ramadan, and Rosh HaShanah ראש השנה,
Let there be Love, Peace and Understanding in the World. Amin. Amen. Om. ॐ

Mira Ćosić, astrologer since 1987.
Mira has been practicing astrology since 1987 when she discovered the March and McEvers book series, "The Only Way to Learn Astrology," published for the first time in her native Sarajevo, Bosnia. There were no astrology teachers or practitioners in socialist, conservative Bosnia at the time; there was also no astrology on radio or TV, and no horoscope columns in newspapers. Mira became a pioneer of astrology in her country when in 1990. she started hosting a weekly live astrology show at the popular radio station "Sarajevo 202". This was the first time that a radio station in her country would let an astrologer speak publicly. The show was on the air on Saturday afternoon, phone lines rang off the hook and the station started receiving hundreds of letters supporting the show and encouraging astrology! After two years at "202," the war in Bosnia began and the station went off the air but that didn't stop her. She moved her show to ISV Radio and then widely popular "Radio M" in Sarajevo.
During the three years of war in Bosnia, she rode her bicycle to the radio station at night during curfew to avoid snipers. She was on the forefront of opening the newly free Bosnia to new age ideas, editing and writing a daily astrological and spiritual page for a well-known Bosnian daily national newspaper which had never published anything about astrology before, and many articles for several astrological and other monthly and weekly magazines in both Serbian and Croatian languages. Bosnian national TV and local TV Hayat had a series of prime-time shows about astrology where Mira made several guest appearances.
After moving to the US, Mira developed expertise in various areas of astrology, studying with well-known astrologers, working as a volunteer for ISAR and UAC conferences, becoming a frequent speaker, board member and webmaster for ASNT – Astrological Association of North Texas. Along the way, she has interviewed famous astrologers, and written articles about major American astrological events and organizations for various magazines in her native Bosnia and neighboring Serbia.
She returns to Bosnia periodically where she still has a following, to conduct astrological seminars. Currently, she provides podcasts on astrology in two languages for her web site http://www.astrologija.com. She also hosted a Saturday night astrological feature called "Voice of the Stars" for RSG Radio in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Her podcast radio feature has being broadcast at the Radio M Sarajevo www.radiom.net every Monday at 3 PM Central Standard Time. Currently, the podcast is available online at
Thanks to the Internet, Mira counsels and teaches internationally in several languages, with clients in France, Australia, Switzerland, Bosnia, Croatia, Sweden, Serbia, Norway, UK, and United States.
True to her Cancer Sun and Uranus in Libra on her ascendant, her counseling is both unique and sensitive, directed towards inner healing and evolution of the soul.
Mira was a president of ASNT Astrological Society of North Texas in Dallas, their board member and webmaster and she is also a member of ISAR.
